GECCO collection of oxidases comprise various alcohol, amine and carbohydrate oxidases. Main members of this collection are listed below. Flagship oxidase is certainly 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural oxidase (HMFO): this enzyme has been shown to be able to convert HMF into the polymer building block FDCA. The biocatalyst can also be used for other reactions which includes oxidations of thiols.

P450 Monooxygenases

Cytochrome P450 monooxygenases (P450s) are versatile biocatalysts that catalyze the regio- and stereospecific oxidation of non-activated hydrocarbons under mild conditions, which is a challenging task for chemical catalysts. Over the past decade impressive advances have been achieved via protein engineering with regard to activity, stability and specificity of P450s.

We are offering prototype P450 enzyme, P450 BM3 and several other members of this powerful biocatalysts, together with possibility of delivering specific mutants.
